What to expect for my 1st appointment at the front desk ?
Downloading and filling out paperwork in advance will save you time and a more quick and efficient visit. You may download, print, and bring this paperwork with you to your appointment. You will need to bring your ID and insurance card to your appointment.
If you don't have access to a printer, no worries - you will fill out paperwork in the office. Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time so you are seen in a timely manner.
What to expect for my 1st appointment with my Doctor?
You will comfortably sit in the Doctors office and talk about your medical history. Physician may take you to an Exam Room depending on symptoms being presented. Based on your symptoms, previous lab work, and tests you have had - a comprehensive wellness plan will be created for you. You physician will order more tests and bloodwork and will be asked to follow up according to the results.
Will I have to come in for follow up visit after blood results are back ?
Yes, we do recommend a face to face or virtual visit to go over your results. Once in a while if results are totally normal and it's someone with extremely low risk then a phone call will be made letting the patient know their results are all normal or within range.
How come my bill was not paid by my insurance ?
We require all patients to be aware of what their policy covers. Some plans are high deductible or HMO plans. Therefore, if you get a large bill it is more than likely because your insurance has a deductible. You must meet this deductible before your policy will begin covering your visits and tests.
Occasionally this can also happen if the Doctor did not write enough Diagnosis codes to justify the blood test. In these cases we will always attempt to resubmit more diagnosis codes to the lab and offer medical documents to justify medical necessity. Be mindful: some plans still may not cover your tests. Some insurances allow one yearly wellness visit and the labs are generally covered, if these labs are medically necessary. Certain labs that are not considered customary as part of a annual physical may not be covered. If this happens to you then call your insurance and check why it was not covered. If you are hesitant to get bloodwork or a test done, call your insurance and verify if they cover these services. You should also call the lab and ask them for a detailed statement and check which labs were not covered and why. This information should be relayed to us ASAP and we will always attempt to help get your coverage. However, know that in some rare cases some tests and labs are not covered and it is best you speak to your insurance company before doing any major testing.
For more billing questions or concerns: please call the office and our staff will be happy to help you or forward you to our billing department.
Do we offer COVID testing?
Yes, we do. We offer COVID testing for all existing patients ONLY. We cannot guarantee a timely turn around time for our traveling patients. Therefore, we recommend you get your COVID testing from a facility that can guarantee a quick turn around. Our results are received within 48 hours of being sent to the lab, and on some occasions this can be longer if the lab is backed up.
